Welcome to the WIHS Blog!

As part of our effort to give a voice to Diversity & Inclusion topics through the Women in Healthcare Security Network ERG, we'd like to introduce you to our WIHS Blog! Here, we'll share stories, opinions, interviews with members and allies, and much more. There is so much power in sharing our voices, join us!


Would you like to help us inspire others and promote a great culture? Help us develop the content!


Note for employees in the KP contract: participation in WIHS activities, including blog contributions, is voluntary - there will be no compensation for your time.


WIHS is a community where we support and empower the development & advancement of our diverse workforce. The content you submit should be relevant and based on your honest opinions and experiences. Keep in mind that we will help you fine-tune your work with a blog writing expert, allowing you to focus on what you would like to convey to the readers.



Here are some basic guidelines we would like you to follow when preparing content:


Respect yourself and others


The WIHS Network requires that all blog posts be respectful. Blog posts should focus on topics that promote:

  • Personal growth

  • Development

  • Healthy and inclusive environments

  • Work/life balance



Act/Contribute with integrity


We will review all content before it is posted to the WIHS Network blog to ensure it aligns with our mission and values. Please only contribute content that is:

  • True and accurate

  • Your original content

  • Adheres to the guidelines in this document


To maintain a community that is respectful, welcoming, and safe for all users, please adhere to the following:

  • Don’t submit content that is libelous, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or inflammatory.

  • Don't share political views.

  • Don’t use profanity or obscenities.

  • Don’t express hatred or intolerance of people on any basis, do not promote organizations with hateful or intolerant views.

  • Don’t submit obscene, offensive, or pornographic content.

  • Don’t submit content that contains others’ private information, and don’t submit links to phishing or other malware sites.

  • Don’t impersonate other individuals or organizations or pretend to be someone or something you are not.

  • Don’t submit content intended to promote products or services.

  • Don’t mention the client’s name, Kaiser Permanente.


The WIHS Network and its associated programs are in a constant state of growth and evolution. These guidelines will change as the blog evolves.
