Regional Council

The WIHS Regional Council provides opportunities for face-to-face connections and conversations across our organization through events like volunteer days (2021), a book club (2021), networking, industry events, and more. All organized in coordination with WIHS Champions, the local ambassadors for the network.

Note: WIHS Champions are compensated for their time only when supporting delegated WIHS network tasks. Anyone on the security team can be a WIHS Champion. All other WIHS Network activities are volunteer-based, and you will not be compensated for your time participating them. For questions about compensation, contact Katie.A.Moracco@kp.org.

What does it mean to be a WIHS Champion?

Champions are essential members of the WIHS network. They will be the local WIHS point of contact at each site to help coordinate activities and answer questions about the network. Anyone on the security team can be a WIHS Champion.

Examples of Champion actions:

  • Help promote WIHS activities

  • Recruit members

  • Answer questions people in their location might have about WIHS

  • Give the network feedback from the field
